The southwest is one of the very most challenging places to photograph in the United States. Extremes in heat and cold, endless dust,  sudden and dangerous weather changes all combine to test even the sturdiest of photographers.  However, from the first time you visit, you will be forever under its magical spell. Rock formations, massive canyons and cliffs, strange and wonderful vegetation and perhaps most haunting... the silence. A place where you listen with your eyes.
