Perhaps the photographer that influenced my color work the most was Eliot Porter.  His approach of the "intimate landscape," were details mattered more than grandeur  often appeals to me; especially in my color work.  I also admire Porter's longevity, photographing well into his eighties.  I would  trade fame and fortune for the ability to create meaningful images until very late in my life... obviously I would prefer to have all three!
